Corrupt officers provided classified intelligence to organised crime figures (including Nafiz Modack's syndicate), ran illegal surveillance operations, subverted legitimate investigations, and allegedly misappropriated Secret Service Account funds. The unit's corruption directly enabled the assassination of Lt-Col Charl Kinnear in September 2020.
