Appointed NDPP by President Ramaphosa on 4 December 2018, took office 1 February 2019. Tasked with rebuilding the NPA after a decade of capture. Established the Investigating Directorate (ID) in 2019 to pursue state capture cases. The ID was upgraded to the permanent Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) in 2024.
