Stole R1.4 billion from investors, primarily from the Living Hands Umbrella Trust that supported widows and orphans of mineworkers killed in mine accidents. Initially sentenced to a R150,000 fine (2013), the SCA overturned this and imposed 15 years (2014). Released on parole in 2021 after 7 years.
