As an ANC MP on SCOPA, Feinstein pushed for a full investigation of the Arms Deal. He was removed from SCOPA after the ANC caucus decided to shut down the investigation. He resigned from Parliament in 2001 in protest. Subsequently wrote "After the Party" (2007), one of the most comprehensive accounts of the Arms Deal corruption.
